The Little Astronaut

My Friend Oshin is a super adventurous girl. Her mother is an astronaut and father is a scientist. Both work for NASA. Oshin has a sibling named Eiichi who is her younger brother. Her mother used to tell her about space tour. The true stories of thrill and adventure. Very soon Sun, moon, stars, galaxies and constellations became her dream friends. The little acquaintance is sufficient to fascinate Oshin’s mind. She started dreaming to go on space tour.

Her mother has to go on Mars Mission on 31 August. She also intended to go with her. But her mother said “You are too little to go to space.When you will become an adult then only you can go.”
But Oshin said, “I am fed up with this Lockdown. I don’t want to stay at home. Earth is over packed with the corona virus and there is no corona virus on Mars. Please do take me to space. I will play with stars and jump float in space. I will not disturb you please do take me along.”
‘Okay baby on next turn’ otherwise Eiichi will miss you, Mother said.
“Ok Mom Oshin said but on next time you will take me.”

Oshin, Eiichi went to see off their mother with their father. Her mother was also not willing to leave the kids in this corona period. She gave application for not going in this mission, but she did not tell anyone about it. She went to NASA headquarters in Washington. Her application was sanctioned. She came back to her family. But Oshin was not there. They felt she would have gone back with her friends’ parents. So her Mom and Dad went back, but Oshin was not there. 

Spaceship started its journey to space. Oh my God it’s also first journey of Oshin to space as she hid herself there. Oshin got worried as she did not find her mother there. Soon one astronaut got to know a 7 year old child has entered the spaceship. They asked her name and address. Oshin told them everything and also told how she reached there. They gave information to base station and Headquarter. They gave her spacesuit and oxygen cylinder.

She started enjoying the amazing universe. At home her Mom, Dad and brother were worrying about her as they were informed  ‘Oshin entered the space’. Her mother ran to base station. Very soon pilot in cockpit informed some leakage in fuel pipe because of emergency they all decided to jump. They all were worrying for little Oshin. But Oshin said “I am not afraid at all, you please tell what do I have to do. I think it all will be more exciting”.

Little Oshin was given a ‘helmet’ parachute and camera was attached to ‘helmet’. She was instructed not to remove her helmet and spacesuit and was taught how and when to open parachute. Her parents at base station lost all hopes but continuously the whole base station was in contact with the little Oshin. Oshin jumped off the spaceship, while on the way she saw many stars, meteors on the way. She said to her mother, “I am feeling sleepy Mom please keep talking, otherwise I will miss all the stars and wonders of the universe.”

While coming down Oshin saw rotating earth, she enjoyed a lot. She was gazing at stars. Soon her mother shouted, ‘Open the parachute.’
Oshin said “Mom now I am feeling very cold”. 
Mother said “you are at very high altitudes.”

In few minutes she reached earth safely. Her mother thanked God. Everyone on the spaceship were praising the bravery of  little Astronaut.
